It is a moment of great honour and pride for Christ The King  Public School as Sourav of grade 10 has carved a niche for himself by taking court in the U – 16 state basketball tournament from 17th to 21st March in M N Krishna Rao park grounds, leading his team to successive victories.

Game 1 was played on 17th March 2025- ‘qualifiers’ Beagles BC vs Pattabi SC, Sourav scored  3 three pointers, 6 layups to turn the game towards Beagles BC.  He hit two crucial free throws to take the lead which powered beagles to a 15 point victory.

Game 2 played on 18th March 2025- Beagles BC vs Hassan district; the game was an easy win for Beagles as they won by 40 points.

Game 3 played on 19th March 2025- Beagles BC vs MCHS, where Sourav scored 2 crucial mid range shots in the first quarter to pull up beagles by 4 points. He had a steal during the their quarter to create a separation of 15 points. After that Beagles had a comfortable win leading by 20 points

Game 4 played on 20th March 2025- Beagles BC vs HBR BA, where the former took up the lead under the captaincy of Sourav in the first quarter, continued to maintain the lead till second quarter, Sourav had 4 crucial 3 pointers to help the team pull the lead, during the last quarter due to some mishaps by the team HBR BA took a 12-point lead to win the game. However, Sourav had 18 points for the vanquished.

Game 5 played on 21st March 2025- Beagles BC vs PPC, Sourav hit a crucial three pointer and a mid-range in the first quarter after which Beagles had a comfortable win over PPC. This secured them a third place in the state tournament – the most defining moments of the game.

Now he is a part of the state camp.

Fans are already buzzing about Sourav’s potential and passion.

Now, all eyes are on this young basketball legend, whose commitment to excellence and true sportsmanship are a source of inspiration to aspiring athletes.
