A Special Assembly was held on 16 September 2026 to felicitate and appreciate the students and staff who participated in the ABE Annual Sports Meet, a cultural programme for the staff from member schools, held at St. Joseph’s College on 12 September 2026. The event witnessed participation from more than 35 teams, representing various schools.
The assembly commenced in the presence of Rev. Dr. Divia Paul, Manager and Correspondent; Ms. Teresa Simon, Principal; and Ms. Lopamudra, Vice Principal. The dignitaries congratulated the staff for their outstanding achievements. The CKPS teams secured First Place in both the Dance and Singing competitions, presenting a graceful dance performance and a mesmerising choir.
The manager, Principal and Vice Principal, appreciated the singers and dancers for their gracefulness, confidence, enthusiasm and dedication, rigorous practice sessions, beyond school hours, which contributed to the success of their performances. They also acknowledged the efforts of the other staff members who worked tirelessly to prepare and guide the students.
Special appreciation was expressed to:
- Ms. Jyoti – Dance Coordinator, for training and guiding the dancers.
- Ms. Manisha – Choir Coordinator, along with Mr. Maurice and Mr. Bosco, for preparing and mentoring the choir team.
- Ms Sangpriya– for her exemplary performance, with tact and strategy in ‘Bombing the city’ game
- Ms. Kalpana – Art Teacher, for preparing the props and assisting with makeup.
- Ms. Supriya Selvaraj – for providing makeup and other support.
- Ms. Annapurna – for providing makeup and other support.
- Mr. Rajanna and Mr. Anil – for their valuable support, throughout the preparation and presentation.
- Other supporting teachers and staff who contributed to the successful presentation.
The assembly concluded with appreciation for the collective effort, teamwork and commitment of the students and staff, whose dedication brought pride and recognition to Christ the King Public School.
