The Grandparents’ Day Celebration was organised at Christ the King Public School on 25 August 2026 with the aim of honouring and celebrating the invaluable role of grandparents in the lives of young children. Grandparents of the students from Nursery, LKG and UKG were invited to be a part of this special occasion. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a good number of grandparents across all three classes.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Rev. Fr. Dr. Divia Paul, Manager and Correspondent, who addressed the gathering with inspiring words in Kannada, Tamil and English, ensuring that everyone could connect with his message. The programme then began with a prayer song presented by the school choir, creating a graceful and prayerful atmosphere.
Fun Games and Activities
A variety of entertaining and engaging games were organised to encourage active participation and interaction between the grandparents and their grandchildren.

Ball-in-the-Basket :
Grandparents participated in a fun ball-throwing activity, creating an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm.
Bindi Art:
Grandchildren creatively decorated their grandmother’s face with bindis, making the activity both artistic and memorable.
Hula Hoop Challenge:
Grandchildren pulled hula hoops placed on the ground while grandparents stood inside them, creating a fun and lively experience as they moved together.
Grandparents’ Ramp Walk:
The celebration concluded with a delightful ramp walk featuring grandparents accompanied by their grandchildren.
Refreshments and Prize Distribution
To make the occasion even more enjoyable, refreshments including tea, coffee and samosas were arranged for the grandparents, while cake was served to the students. The programme concluded with prize distribution, recognising the enthusiastic participation and performance of the grandparents and children.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Nethra, Pre-Primary Coordinator, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
Conclusion
The Grandparents’ Day Celebration 2026 was a memorable and heartwarming occasion. The event successfully brought together grandparents and grandchildren, providing them with an opportunity to share laughter, joy and precious moments together. The enthusiastic participation of the grandparents made the celebration a grand success, leaving everyone with cherished memories.
