The Bharat Scouts & Guides, Karnataka, Bangalore North District organized a District Level Basic Training Course for Cub Masters, Flock Leaders, Scout Masters, and Guide Captains from 24th to 30th August 2026.
The training programme aimed to strengthen and expand the Scout and Guide movement in educational institutions by equipping teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities to serve as certified unit leaders.
The programme provided participants with valuable training in the principles, practices, discipline, teamwork, and activities associated with the Scout and Guide movement.
This Training Course was a Non-Residential Day Course, conducted at the District Headquarters, Sri Chamundi Scout Group premises.
The participating teachers had to report at 7.30 am every day and were relieved by 6: 00 pm.
Representing Christ the King Public School, Ms. Sony successfully completed the training and was certified as a Cub Master, while Ms. Shilpa was certified as a Flock Leader.
Their participation was encouraged and supported by Rev. Dr. Divia Paul, Manager and Correspondent of the school, who motivated them to take up the training and contribute actively to the development of Scouting and Guiding activities in the school.
The felicitation ceremony was held on 3rd September 2026 during the Special Assembly. The newly certified leaders were felicitated for their commitment, enthusiasm, and willingness to take up leadership responsibilities in the Scout and Guide movement.
The school community expressed its appreciation for their dedication and achievement.
As a gesture of recognition, Ms. Fathima honoured Ms. Shilpa, Flock Leader, while Ms. Sowmyasree honoured Ms. Sony, Cub Master.
The successful completion of the training by Ms. Sony and Ms. Shilpa marks an important step towards strengthening the Scout and Guide programme at Christ the King Public School.
Their newly acquired skills and experience will help nurture discipline, leadership, teamwork, perseverance, diligence, self-reliance, and a spirit of service among the students.
