The D Day was finally here……
On the 2nd of December, 2024, Christ the King Public celebrated the birthday of Rev Dr Divia Paul, our esteemed school manager.
The event was organized to express gratitude for his exceptional leadership and dedication to the school. The principal, Ms Sajana Priya, staff and the students came together to create a memorable celebration in honour of Dr Paul’s special Day.
The decorations reflected the theme with colourful balloons, banners, and tablecloths set up in the celebration hall. The centre stage was a large birthday banner that read “Happy Birthday Father”, creating a festive atmosphere.
The parish priest, Rev Fr Jude Santhosh, took time off from his busy schedule, in order to wish our beloved manager, and to be a part of the celebrations in the school auditorium.
Ms Lopamudra, one of the senior teachers, was the anchor for the day’s events, and with her professional approach and charismatic stage presence, kept the audience informed and engaged.
There were several mesmerizing dance performances, skits and action songs, by the staff and students, adding music, colour, glamour, and humour to the celebrations.
The cake cutting ceremony on the dais was witnessed by Father, along with the Principal, the staff, the SPL and ASPL. The audience cheered and sang the birthday song, as the beautifully decorated cake, was cut, in tune to the theme and joy of celebrations.
Riyan Marsh of grade 10, made an enthralling speech on the significance of the day, expressing his love and gratitude to Father, on behalf of the entire student community and grade 10 students in particular (the outgoing batch of this academic year)
During the event, the staff members and students shared heartfelt messages of appreciation for Rev Dr Paul, our beloved manager. Dr Paul was overwhelmed with the surprise – set of percussion instruments, jointly contributed and gifted by the Principal and staff.
The Principal gave a heartwarming speech, spoke about the positive impact the manager has had on the school community, highlighting his leadership skills, kindness, and support. She also expressed her gratitude to Father, for his inspiration, support, wisdom and above all, for being a beacon of hope for the institution.
The principal, in her speech, wholeheartedly thanked the staff and students, who had worked tirelessly to put up their best performances for the event.
Master Atharv of grade 2, also made his mesmerising speech, expressing his love and gratitude for Father, and how the day seems special for the entire student community.
The birthday celebration for Dr Paul, was a wonderful event, successfully bringing together students, staff, and colleagues to honour the manager’s dedication and leadership. It was an opportunity for the school community to express their gratitude and enjoy a moment of togetherness.
Dr Paul, in turn thanked the school community for their warmth, creativity, effort and time that made the occasion extra special for him. He particularly mentioned that he was deeply humbled by the kind words and the qualities that they had generously attributed to him. He said that hearing them share those reflections was both moving and inspiring, and most importantly very humbling. He said that he would strive to live up to the virtues that were enumerated.
The students and teachers were provided with snacks and refreshments, to mark the joy and happiness of the day. The event was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful moments that made Rev Dr Paul feel appreciated and valued. It not only celebrated the manager’s birthday but also strengthened the bond within the school community.
