Graduation Day 2025: A Celebration of Dreams and Achievements

1st of February 2025, saw an eventful day at Christ the King Public School, with the celebration of the Graduation Day for the outgoing grade 10 batch of 2024-25.

This event, was a testimony to the perseverance and dedication of both students and faculty, celebrating academic and holistic accomplishments and memorable experiences during their school days this far.
The entire school was decked up for the big day. The main event was in the auditorium. The chief guest for the day’s event was Ms Mary Shylaja, IPS (ACP, Yeshwanthpur Sub Division). The guests of honour were Mr Ajay Sarathi, KPS and Rev Fr Santhosh Kumar. However, due to emergency work related issues and orders from the higher government officials, only Rev Fr Santhosh could make it to the celebrations. The other dignitaries informed that they would partake in the programs and celebration later and not to keep the audience waiting for their arrival.
Rev Fr Santhosh was welcomed at the gate, with a gracious band salute, and led to the auditorium by the manager and correspondent Rev Dr Paul, The principal Ms Sajana Priya and a few senior teachers.

The program in the auditorium began at 10: 40 am.

Ms Lopamudra, the MoC , with her stage presence and professional persona, kept the audience engaged.
Specific seating arrangements had been made in the auditorium for the graduates, their parents, staff and students.

The day’s festivities commenced with a formal procession of the graduating students into the auditorium, dressed in traditional graduation attire, carrying a lighted candle, symbolizing positivity and knowledge, with a sense of pride and dignity.
The graduates went on to take their respective positions in the auditorium.
This was followed by a lamp lighting ceremony by the manager, Principal, the dignitaries and few senior teachers.

There was the welcome dance, followed by the welcome address by Ms Jemima, setting the theme for the day,
Ms Lopamudra and Ms Jennifer introduced the graduates, in turns, as they stepped up onto the podium. They read out the achievements, the aspirations, passions, and where they would to like see themselves about ten years down the line.

Each graduate received a certificate and a memento, symbolizing their dedication, perseverance and inseparable bond they shared with the school community.
The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya, administered the oath to the graduating Christites, to uphold the reputation, dignity and pride of the alma mater.
Riyan Marsh of grade 10, was invited to come up to the podium to share his thoughts, experiences and journey through school life.
The manager Rev Dr Paul felicitated the guest of Honor and also two of the parents, Mr Venugopal and Mr Srinivas, for their contributions to the school community. Mr Srinivas is currently in charge of the school newsletter.
Fr Santhosh addressed the graduates, advising them to aspire to become the best, to work with patience and perseverance, and to be grateful to all the teachers who had contributed to their growth this far.
Ms Noor Shifa read out the ‘student of Excellence’ award which was bagged by Riyan Marsh and ‘Valedictorian award’ went to Ms Charusmitha.
A former student, from the batch of 2023-24, Ms Mercy Joylyn, was awarded for her outstanding performance.

The Principal Ms Sajana Priya mentioned about the overall trophy which went to the blue house and the runners up – the yellow house. The house animators along with the captain and the vice-captain were called upon the stage and the manager Rev Dr Divia Paul, was asked to give away the trophies
The mesmerising farewell song of class 2025 was sung by the school choir, filling and flooding the entire auditorium with reverberating musical waves. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Nethravathi, thanking everyone for their presence and, participation in making the event a memorable one.

The ceremony concluded with a rendition of the school anthem by the school community in unison.

There was also the photo session, where the staff were called to come up on the stage to capture moments with the graduates, in batches. A reception with light refreshments provided an opportunity for the graduates, their parents, and the staff to celebrate the joyous occasion together.
The graduation day ceremony was more than a celebration; it was an acknowledgment and reflection of the students’ journey so far as well as an insight to the future -what lies ahead and what next.
The event encompassed the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development and preparing students for a better future.
