On August 28, Christ the King Public School joyfully celebrated Yellow Day to promote learning and creativity among the young students. The school was filled with excitement as both teachers and children dressed in vibrant yellow outfits, symbolizing the brightness and energy associated with the color. To further enhance the theme, the children brought along yellow-themed crafts representing various yellow objects, which were displayed on a beautifully decorated bulletin board.
The celebration began with teachers explaining the significance of the color yellow. They discussed how yellow symbolizes warmth, happiness, and positivity, and introduced several objects that are commonly associated with the color, such as the sun, lemons, bananas, and sunflowers. This brief yet engaging learning session helped the students better understand the importance of yellow in their everyday lives.
Following the introduction, the students were taken to the school ground for a series of fun activities. The highlight of the day was a collaborative fruit salad-making session, where teachers prepared a salad using yellow fruits like bananas, mangoes, and oranges. Alongside this, lemonade was freshly prepared from lemons. The children were excited to enjoy these delicious and healthy treats, which aligned perfectly with the day’s yellow theme.
Once the children had enjoyed their snacks, the celebration continued with music and dance. The students enthusiastically danced to lively tunes, and teachers engaged them in singing fun songs about yellow objects, adding a musical element to the day.
To add an element of fun competition, a lemon and spoon race was organized for the kindergarteners. The children eagerly participated, balancing lemons on spoons as they raced, filling the ground with laughter and excitement.
The event was a perfect blend of learning, play, and creativity, offering the students a day full of joy. Yellow Day not only taught them about the color but also allowed them to express themselves through crafts, music, and games, making it a memorable day for everyone involved
