“The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves.” – Helen Keller
The World Scarf Day was celebrated at Christ the King Public School, on the 1st of August 2025, under the leadership of our beloved manager and Correspondent, Rev Dr Divia Paul. The event was organized by Ms Jyothi, Coordinator of Scouts and Guides and other team members.
To begin with, we had the Prayer song by the gathering, invoking the blessings of Almighty, the welcome speech by Vikasini of grade 3 A, followed by an insight into the significance of World Scarf Day by Rachel of grade 6. The Tree planting awareness program by our adorable Bunnies team was carried out under the mentorship of Ms Bharathi.
Next was the Cleanliness drive by our Bulbuls and cubs organized by the Flock leaders Ms Victoria and Ms Fathima.
Post this, was the Honouring of some of the CKPS Staff with the ‘ Scarf ‘, by Rev Dr Divia Paul and our beloved Principal Ms Sajana Priya, for their dedication and service that they had rendered to the institution. The gesture reflected the core values of unity, respect, and service – the very essence of the scouting movement
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Siddharth of grade 7. The overall discipline of the students was monitored by Ms Kalpana, Ms Evangeline and Ms Bhavana.
The entire team, headed by Ms Jyothi, worked in unison to make the event a resounding success. The event, held in the auditorium, sent around vibes of passion, preparedness to help others, above all, with a sense of duty mindedness and integrity. The scarf is a symbol of strength, courage, and also to reach out to those in need with selflessness.
What is our belief here ?
We all resonate with the same thought and feeling……
Fill the heart with love, keep the soul with values. Help others in need, which symbolizes humanity. Birth and death have a reason; in between this journey, we should make our life meaningful.
The Scouts and Guides team symbolizes unity, integrity and helps those in need with love and joy. They are the people who help without any expectation in return. As a human being, please take a pledge to help others in need.
” Be a human with a beautiful soul”
The World Scarf Day is also a day to for renewing the Scout/ Guide Promise, by keeping in mind the Scout/ Guide Motto ‘Be prepared’.
