From grade one’s desk to grade nine’s chair,
The year’s slipped by, I wasn’t aware;
A blink, A breath and time just flew,
A childhood lived, a world I knew.
The playground laughs, the classroom fears,
The scolding tones that brought me tears.
I feared my teachers, their strict embrace,
But now I see their care and grace.
They shaped my path, they held my hand,
They thought me how to truly stand.
Their love was tough, their hearts were true,
A gift I see now, in hindsight’s view.
Oh, now I wish I could go back,
To little me on that childhood track.
I’d say ,”don’t fear, just laugh just play,
These golden days won’t last- enjoy today.”
The memories glow, a bittersweet hue,
A mix of joy and sadness too.
It’s hard to leave this chapter behind,
But life has more for me to find.
A suprise awaits, a future bright,
New dreams to chase, new stars in sight.
So I’ll hold the past, but not with dread,
For life’s journey, and I’m far from dead.
