June 26th was the red lettered day for all the school council members to take up the leadership role .
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held with great pomp and dignity at Christ the King Public School Malleswaram. The ceremony was in the auditorium, administered by our Rev Father, Dr. Divia Paul and our Principal Ms.Sajana Priya.
The chief guest of the day was Mr Raghuchandra. K.G., the Block Education Officer, Bangalore North2. The guest of honour was Rev Fr Jude Santhosh, the Parish Priest, Christ the King Church.
Ms Rose Maggie and Ms Chaithra, were the anchors for the event. The ceremony commenced at 10: 45 am with the prayer song by the choir, lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, scripture readings and a prayer to invoke God’s blessings.
The school’s dance troupe performed a beautiful prayer dance, after which the gathering was welcomed by the Principal, Ms Sajana Priya, who highlighted on the qualities, duties and responsibilities of a true leader and the importance of the day.
The chief guests and the guests of honour were felicitated with a shawl, a bouquet and a memento. Dr Paul briefed the gathering about the significance of the day, what it takes to be a leader and the sacrifices and concerns involved, thus setting the theme for the day.
The school band led by Md Mustafa marched in grandeur, while the newly elected leaders of the school council, SPL Akshay Krishna, the ASPL Kundanika, the house wise, discipline and cultural Captains and respective Vice Captains were escorted to the podium to take the oath.
Ms Padmavathi and Ms Angeline Jemima took turns in introducing the Captains and Vice Captains with their portfolios.
The oath taking ceremony was led by the principal and elected student council pledging to work earnestly upholding the honour and glory of our institution. The elected leaders were conferred badges and sashes by Father Paul, the Principal, and the chief guest after which the manager motivated the students with his golden words about leadership. Towards, the end was the Vote of thanks by Ms Justina. The function concluded with school anthem and National Anthem led by the school choir in unison. The programme ended by 12: 20 pm.
