THE CHANGE

Jan 30, 2026 | Parent's Corner

In a bustling apartment complex, a young man named Rohan had a reputation for being troublesome. He’d often lash out at neighbours, use hurtful language, and break things without a care. The community dreaded his presence, and kids avoided him. But in his 21st year, Rohan began to see the damage he’d done. He started small – smiling at strangers, helping with chores, and joining local cricket tournaments. As he opened up, the community’s walls began to crumble. People started greeting him, and he found a sense of belonging.

Tragedy struck when Rohan collapsed in the gym due to a congenital heart condition. For 10 days, he lay in a coma, and the community came together in a remarkable display of compassion. Neighbours, who once avoided him, gathered for group prayers, hoping for his recovery. Despite their efforts, Rohan passed away, leaving behind a transformed community.

Rohan’s parents were devastated by his loss, but they were approached by a doctor who shares Rohan’s diary. In it, Rohan had written, “If I don’t make it, I want my eyes and organs to live on. Let someone see the world through my eyes.”

Touched by his selflessness, Rohan’s parents agree to donate his organs.

Rohan’s eyes give sight to a blind girl, Aisha, who writes him a heartfelt letter:

“Dear Rohan,

I see the world now, and it’s beautiful because of you. I’ll make sure to live with kindness, just like you wanted.”

His heart beats in someone else’s chest, carrying his spirit forward.

The diary becomes a symbol of hope, inspiring others to donate. 😊

His story shows how one person’s small change can ripple out, touching countless lives. When the community came together to pray for someone they once shunned, it was a testament to Rohan’s impact. His transformation reminded everyone that people can change, and kindness is contagious. 🌟
