The Pre-Primary Department of Christ The King Public School celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great joy and enthusiasm on October 14, 2025. The event was organized to honour and appreciate the unconditional love, care and wisdom that grandparents bring into the lives of their grandchildren.
The celebration began with a welcome address by Ms. Bharti, followed by a soulful prayer song led by Ms. Manisha. Ms. Madhavi extended a warm welcome through a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to all the grandparents for their presence. A graceful welcome dance by Vibha, a UKG student, set a joyful tone for the day.
A speech on the significance of Grandparents’ Day by Ms. Bharti highlighted the importance of grandparents in shaping values and traditions in the family. The stage then came alive with energetic dance performances by the Nursery and LKG students, not to mention an adorable action song presented by the UKG children, which filled the aura with cheer and excitement.
Various competitions were organized for the grandparents, such as Rangoli, Best Out of Waste and Fireless Cooking. Their creativity and enthusiasm made these events truly remarkable.
The highlight of the day was the fun games for the grandparents, which brought laughter and energy to the entire gathering.
For the grandfathers, games like Pencil and Bottle Challenge, Balloon Race, and Fetching the Balls Game, where they had to pick three balls of different colours from a box—were conducted.
For the grandmothers, interesting games such as Rubik’s Cube Challenge were organized.
All the grandparents participated with great enthusiasm, displaying a wonderful spirit of fun and togetherness. Their cheerful involvement and sporting attitude made the day truly special.
The manager and correspondent, Rev Dr Divia Paul, and the principal, Ms Sajana Priya, spoke on the significance of the day, what truly matters, as grandparents, and their role in this modern society.
The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Bhagya, followed by refreshments for everyone. The event was a grand success, leaving behind cherished memories for both children and their beloved grandparents.
