The 25th of June 2025, saw an eventful day at Christ the King Public School, packed with learning, excitement and sportsmanship.
The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya, the staff and students, had assembled in the auditorium, where the main programs were held, as part of the International Olympic Day celebrations.
The students had regular classes till 2 pm, post which there was the special assembly presented by students of grade 8 B on the significance of the International Olympic Day, under the guidance of their class teacher, Ms Nanda Kalal.
Next, was the quiz program organized by Ms Bhavana and Ms Priya, aimed to educate students about the history and importance of the Olympic Games. This was conducted house wise, where students from all the 4 houses, actively participated in the quiz, demonstrating their knowledge and learning related to the Olympic movement. Blue house emerged as winners, yellow as runners up, followed by green and finally red.
The principal, delivered a heartfelt speech, that resonated with the theme and significance of the day, with an insight into why the International Olympic Day is celebrated, emphasis on the Olympic values, encouraging physical fitness, unity and team spirit.
This was followed by the much-awaited event -The inter-house Table Tennis match, organized by, Ms Radha Dayanand, Ms Bhavana, Ms Kalpana , Ms Monica Majoy and Mr Nagappa, towards fostering healthy competition, building team work and true sportsmanship, in tune with the theme of International Olympics day.

The audience was filled with cheers, applauds, tears and smiles alike. It was truly a lively and momentous day, to commemorate the founding of the modern Olympic Games and to promote the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect.
