- Special multiplication – with 11- with and without carry
- Yavadunam sutra (from Vedic Maths) for rapid multiplication of numbers close to base 10 numbers
- Special Multiplication -with complements of 10
- Insight into Pascals Triangle
The session helped the students to learn few tricks of multiplication, Pascal’s Triangle and Applications, applying the right strategy for multiplication, with specific pattern of numbers. The students enjoyed the session and were very interactive and enthusiastic to learn these short cuts and tricks.
The students greatly benefitted from these sessions as it helped them get a deeper understanding of how the process of multiplication works, especially numbers that are close to base 10 numbers and powers of 10.
Certain exercise problems were given as homework, before closure. The students were asked to apply the techniques that were taught and to implement the same as part of verification in the maths sessions.
