Introduction
Market role-play is an interactive learning tool where participants act out scenarios related to buying, selling, or negotiating in a market setting. It helps develop essential skills like communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
Objective
Market role-play for LKG students is essential as it helps develop social skills, enhances communication, fosters creativity, introduces basic concepts of buying and selling, and builds confidence. It also encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making, while promoting emotional intelligence and empathy. By engaging in this interactive activity, young learners can explore, experiment, and learn in a fun and engaging way, laying a strong foundation for future learning and development.
In the market role-play activity, the teachers played the role of customers, purchasing vegetables from the children who were acting as vendors. This helped create a realistic scenario for the kids, allowing them to practice their selling skills, handle transactions, and interact with “customers.”
Conclusion
“The market role-play activity was a huge success, providing a hands-on learning experience for the children. By taking on roles as vendors and customers, they developed essential skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. The activity not only made learning fun but also helped build confidence and creativity in the young participants. Overall, it was a valuable experience that will benefit them in their future endeavors.”
