Christ The King Public School celebrated International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and a dedication to wellness. On June 21, students gathered in the school’s basement to participate in various yoga sessions and to learn about the holistic benefits of yoga for both body and mind. Teachers and instructors guided students through a fulfilling day of practice and learning, creating a memorable experience for everyone.
The day began with an introduction to the origins and significance of International Yoga Day, emphasizing how this global event promotes peace, health, and self-awareness. The school’s yoga instructor led students through a sequence of poses like the Mountain Pose, Tree Pose, and Sun Salutations. Each pose was introduced with an explanation of its health benefits, including better flexibility, concentration, and relaxation.
The celebration concluded with a calming guided meditation session, allowing everyone to unwind and reflect on the day’s experiences. Students left the event with a renewed commitment to wellness and self-care, making it a truly meaningful day at Christ The King Public School.
