And now, its Time to RUSH………
July 4th , was a momentous day, in the history of Christ the King Public School. It was a day fuelled with passion and packed with excitement, the inauguration of our much-awaited Rush Sports Arena — a space that celebrates fitness, true sportsmanship, and the spirit of healthy competition.
The parents had assembled in the school grounds to witness the inauguration. Seating arrangements were made prior for the dignitaries, staff, students and parents. After the first 3 periods, at around 11 am, students were led down to the grounds to participate in the inaugural ceremony.
Ms Lopamudra, the high school coordinator was the anchor for the day’s events.
To begin with, the manager and correspondent Rev Dr Divia Paul, and the Principal, Ms Sajana Priya welcomed the dignitaries –with grandeur, backed by the dignified band salute.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, the Guest of Honour Rev. Msgr. Jayanathan, the Vice President and Secretary of the Archdiocesan Board of Education, Mr. Sree Harsha the CEO of RUSH, and other distinguished guests graced the occasion.
The heartfelt welcome was followed by the soulful Prayer Song presented by the School Choir to invoke God’s presence and blessings. Next was the Lighting of the ceremonial Lamp by the dignitaries, followed by the lively, graceful welcome dance.
The Welcome Address was delivered by the manager and correspondent, Rev Dr Divia Paul, who is also the visionary behind this initiative. The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya, in her speech, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, and the team from RUSH for undertaking the project.
Next, we had the Prayer and Blessings by his Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado to invoke God’s blessings on the gathering and on the new sports arena. His Grace, also addressed the gathering and shared a few words of encouragement. The Guest of Honour, Rev. Msgr. Jayanathan, also shared his thoughts on the project, this milestone and initiative on this joyous occasion.
Mr. Shree Harsha, the CEO of RUSH, presented a brief overview of the vision, features and purpose of the Rush Sports Arena. The ceremonial unveiling of the official Rush Sports Arena jersey was by Mr. Nikith from the RUSH Team.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms Netravathi, expressing heartfelt appreciation to all those who made this day possible.
Towards closure, everyone arose in respect and unison for our National Anthem.
“May this arena be a place where champions are made and memories are created for generations to come.”
