FUTURE READY….. ARE YOU

Aug 3, 2025 | Events

The much-awaited Training session centred around the theme of ‘Future Ready’ was held at Christ the King Public School, on the 31st July 2025 , led by Mr Harish Bala, the Founder & CEO, Centapro.

The target audience was the outgoing batch of grade 10, however students from grade 6 to 10, accompanied by their teachers were taken to the auditorium to witness the session and benefit from the same. The training session was for 2 hours from 9:00 am to 11 :00 am.

The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya, welcomed and introduced the team, the purpose and the expectations.

Mr Harsha, began, by asking questions, like why they come to school, their career choices, and the intention or idea behind, thus making it an interactive one. There were mixed responses from the students. He mentioned that one has to start working and inculcating skills right from school life itself, so as to realize their dreams, not to get carried away or succumb to parental, societal or peer pressure, and sometimes as Steve Jobs has mentioned, it’s best to follow your intuition and heart, rather.  But for this one has to start working and planning, without which the dream will only remain a wish.

Mr Harsha, brought out the importance of managing our time through various activities, like the closing of eyes and sitting in perfect silence for a minute, filling up the 6 x 4 activity grid, to understand how we use our 24 hours allotted to us.

It was truly an eye opener, highlighting the importance of upgrading oneself, learning new skill sets, to survive and sustain in the world of digitisation and AI. He mentioned that while, once upon a time, getting good marks was the main criteria for securing a merit seat in a premier institution, the scenario has changed over time, making it in fact harder for the present generation. In todays, scenario one has to be a GOAT in the thriving industry or a subject matter expert, so as to make their mark.

The key takeaways from the session were the importance of time management, prioritising our tasks and responsibilities – with the Rocks, Pebbles and Sand analogy.

He emphasized the importance of effective communication, being assertive where needed, but at the same time polite ; one has to be a good listener, and only then can they become good communicators.

Goals must be SMART -Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reliable and Time bound.  Goals must be broken down into simpler and smaller goals with purpose and well-established boundaries and deadlines.

Creative thing, along with critical thinking to rise up the ladder of success, to think rationally, solve problems economically and in the optimal way. In line with this, REBUS puzzles and worksheets are a means of enhancing creative thinking. It is very important to exercise our brain, to tune it and sharpen it

One must not choose their career based on emotions, pressure or based on the money or income.

He mentioned that very often, at the career counselling sessions, parents used to ask him, to suggest the best or the booming industry sector. He clarified that presently, no industry is booming. Success, richness , contentment are relative terms, and one must choose their career path wisely, so as to boom in the industry they are thriving in.

Students were given feedback forms, to understand their experience, learning from the session as well as their expectations and ideas along with radical inputs.

Mr Harsha, gave a memento of appreciation to the principal, as a mark of their team’s gratitude and regards for the institution, and also for providing them with an opportunity to conduct the session. He whole heatedly thanked the Principal for her support and guidance.

The principal, in turn, thanked Mr Harsha and his team for conducting this enriching and resourceful session for the students and providing them with valuable insights. Md Mustafa of grade 10, delivered the VOT.
