First Aid Training

Ms. Fathima Mary and Ms Monica Majoy attended a comprehensive First Aid Training session conducted at St. John’s Hospital on the 7th of August, 2025 . The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to handle a wide range of medical emergencies effectively.

The session covered the following key areas:

  • Management of bleeding and fractures
  • Pain relief techniques
  • Response to dog bites
  • First aid for choking
  • Handling fainting and unconsciousness
  • Treatment of epistaxis (nosebleeds)
  • Seizure response
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • Managing panic attacks
  • Basic first aid procedures
  • Dealing with heat stroke
  • Response to electrical injuries
  • Treatment of burns and scalds

The training was highly informative with hands-on sessions, along with demonstrations and practice sessions that enhanced confidence in providing immediate care during emergencies.

Upon successful completion, both of them were awarded certificates by St. John’s Hospital.

This training has strengthened the ability to respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring the well-being and safety of those in our care.

They have thanked the manager and correspondent, Rev Dr Paul, and the principal, Ms Sajana Priya for providing them with an opportunity to participate in the sessions and benefit from the same.
