The much-awaited day of the Academic year was finally here- 29th march 2025.
It was the last day of the Academic year 2024-25 – a day to celebrate and cherish. This day
had been selected to give away the prizes, medals and awards to the winners and participants
in the different talent search exams and events conducted during the academic year.
The event was held in the Auditorium, from 10 : 30 am to 12: 00 pm.
The anchor for the day’s program was Ms Jennifer Cruz. She greeted the gathering, asked the
students to maintain discipline, to cheer and clap for the classmates towards the end after the
list was called out, so as to not lose out the intermediate names. She started with a small prayer
invoking the blessings of the Almighty.
To begin with, we had the KISA awards. KISA -Karnataka ICSE Schools’ Association had
conducted a Talent search exam during the month of October. This was followed by the Spell
Bee awards for the spell bee exam conducted in February in association with WIZ- an
international body that aims to improve children’s spelling, vocabulary, and overall language skills.
Next was the Catechism prizes given to students who had excelled in the Catechism exams
conducted by ABE in December.
Students who had excelled in academics and had cent percent attendance for the academic year
were also given awards.
After this, the prizes were given away to students who had excelled in the drawing, painting
art and craft exams.
The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya gave away the awards with the support of the organizing
committee, Ms Teresa Simon, Ms Soumya, Ms Kalpana, Ms Rachael ,Ms Lavanya and Ms
Kiruthiga
The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya congratulated the winners and ensured that the children got
their due recognition -not only the winners, but the participants as well. She reiterated that it
is not about winning or losing. what counts is participation, willingness to learn, upskill,
practise and grow. She said the Christ the King Public school believes in the holistic
development of children and hence encouraged them to participate in large numbers in the
events, exams and Olympiads to be conducted in the near future.
She thanked the organizing committee for planning, handling the logistics, decorating the
stage, training the students, presentation, arranging the prizes and other details, and in making
the event a grand success.
The principal expressed that she was very grateful to the manager, Rev Dr Paul for his vision,
wisdom and advice in the smooth functioning of the school, both in academics and in holistic
development.
She also expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all the staff members, the support staff,
the exam committee, organizing committees for the various Talent based exams, Olympiads
and events conducted during the academic year-the efforts of the teachers, their cooperation,
all through the academic year.
Coming to students, the principal advised them to make good use of the summer vacation,
encouraged them to participate in the summer camps, to learn and utilize the time and
opportunities wisely. She encouraged them to practise handwriting, learn new skills and read
books to enhance their language skills and also improve their General knowledge.
She also gave them general instructions about the PTM scheduled for the 10th of April.
Towards closure, the audience stood up to sing the School Anthem in unison -March forth
Christites !!!
The auditorium buzzed with mixed emotions and excitement. The students had just finished
writing their last exam, and the academic year had come to an end- they were all set for the
summer vacations- At the same time, there was a feeling of separation, that they would be
away from the school, from their friends, classmates and teachers.
To sum in the words of Shakespeare, “ All is well, that ends well”
