This much awaited day for the staff and children of Christ the King Public School was celebrated on the 14th of November 2024, commemorating the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime minister of the country.
It was a day filled with energy, enthusiasm, joy , colours, innocent and smiling faces.
Teachers and students were asked to come in ethnic attire.
The entrance, classrooms, boards, bulletin boards,corridors, were all beautifully decorated to welcome the Christites.
The major part of the celebrations were held in the auditorium, which was decorated with balloons, festoons, flowers and vibrant colours.
The program began at 9: 45 am.
The staff and students from Nursery to grade 10 gathered in the auditorium.
Ms Noor Shifa was the MoC for the day’s event.
One of the senior teachers, Ms Teresa Simon set the theme for the day with the welcome address.
The entire program was meticulously planned, and beautifully organized with an introductory prayer, prayer songs, skit, different types of dances by the teaching staff and a ramp walk by the support staff that set the stage on fire.
It was apparent that the staff had put their heart and soul into their displays and dances to entertain and show their love for the students whom they teach and nurture to become better individuals.

The children were also provided with snacks and juice packs.
The manager and correspondent, Rev Dr Paul, spoke on the significance of the day, with a beautiful quote to sum up, from Rabindranath Tagore, citing that every child is special and a testimony to the fact that God still loves the world.
The Principal, Ms Sajana Priya also made a speech on the significance of the day and the history behind the celebration.
To add to this joyous occasion, there was a magic show by Mr Koushik, one of the experienced and senior magicians in Bangalore.
The program got over by 12 45 pm.
The latter part of the day, post lunch, saw solo and group singing and dancing competitions for students of grades 6 to 10, in the music room and auditorium respectively.
The group events were house wise.
The entire day was filled with energy, entertainment, buoyancy, rhythm and colours, where children carried home memories and moments to cherish.
